What’s a typical day at Sedgebrook like?

Sedgebrook is a community that molds to you and your lifestyle. Here, independent living means enjoying the freedom and flexibility to do only those things you want to do, when you want to do them. With over 90 clubs and organizations, each day is yours to enjoy any way you like.

What is the advantage of choosing a Life Plan Community like Sedgebrook?

A Life Plan Community offers peace of mind for you and your family. At Sedgebrook, you’ll have the security of knowing that, should your needs ever change, you’ll have priority access to all levels of care on our campus — from assisted living memory care to rehabilitation and skilled nursing, or even home health care.

Sedgebrook also offers access to a dedicated, on-campus wellness team that can perform health assessments and provide qualified care and support, right in your apartment home, during periods of illness or recovery. The Health at Home team can assist with short-term to extended care, medication management, home nursing, personal assistance with shopping, and help with managing Medicare or other insurance-related paperwork.

What does your monthly service package cover?

The monthly service package at Sedgebrook covers all the costs of living you might otherwise have in a house, including maintenance, dining at our community restaurants, utilities and much more. Beyond this, your monthly service package includes all of Sedgebrook’s extensive services and amenities, with only a few exceptions. The amount you pay depends on the size of residence you choose and the number of occupants in your residence. A second person pays a significantly lower monthly service package.

What are the age requirements to live at Sedgebrook?

Residents must be 62 years or older.

May I make changes to my apartment home?

We offer complimentary on-site interior design services to help you with ideas and plans, as well as a full menu of custom options, from paint and wallpaper to architectural molding, and upgraded cabinetry, countertops and appliances. With the help of our interior designer, Joseph, you’ll get an apartment home that’s the right size for you, designed just for you.

Structural or physical changes or renovations must first be approved by management. Custom renovations will remain the property of Sedgebrook.

Is Sedgebrook pet-friendly?

Absolutely. At Sedgebrook, we love our four-legged friends — and they love our expansive grounds and extensive walking trails.

All dogs must be approved by Sedgebrook management.

Is there a waiting list?

Wait-list status changes from time to time. If your preferred floor plan and location are not available, you may join the wait list. For more information and to obtain a copy of the wait-list agreement, call (847) 901-3267 to speak with one of our lifestyle counselors.
