Caregiver Training & Commitment
The quality of our care begins with the caliber of our caregivers. All Sedgebrook at Home caregivers are trained Sedgebrook employees—not outside contractors. This means they share our values, understand our community, and are accountable to the same high standards that define the Sedgebrook experience.
Every caregiver completes a comprehensive New Employee Orientation that immerses them in Sedgebrook’s culture and values, followed by 10 hours of specialized initial caregiving training. This includes hands-on Hoyer lift instruction for safe mobility assistance and CPR and First Aid certification for emergency preparedness. Throughout the year, our team participates in monthly ongoing training sessions designed specifically for the unique needs of our Sedgebrook community.
