Who Were The Ritchie Boys?

A Hidden Chapter of World War II

Come join us for a fascinating one-hour presentation with Libby Fischer Hellmann, author of Max’s War: The Story of a Ritchie Boy. Discover the remarkable story of the nearly 2,500 refugees from German-speaking countries—most of them Jewish—who were trained at Camp Ritchie and went on to serve as elite U.S. Army intelligence officers during World War II. Learn how these “Ritchie Boys” used their language skills and cultural knowledge to help turn the tide of the war, and why their contributions remained largely forgotten for decades.

A complimentary lunch will be served.
