A Marine’s Story

– Jerry Friedman joined the U.S. Marine Corp. on December 10th, 1941.
– He fought at Guadalcanal, Cape Glouster and Peleliu and as an observer at Okinawa.
– He was present at the signing of the surrender documents aboard the battle ship Missouri in Tokyo Bay.
– He received 3 Purple Hearts, a Distinguished Service Cross and a Silver Star.
